Grand Prix Triathlon

The 2020 season will experience an unusual edition of the Grand Prix Triathlon. Due to the pandemic that heavily affected all national and international sporting calendars, even the circuit historically divided into three stages has been reorganized and will be held in a single test. It will be the City of Palermo, already home to the stage in 2017, which will host the 7th race that will assign the Grand Prix Triathlon 2020. The race courses that will unfold in the suggestive bay of Mondello, the usual characteristics that characterize this Circuit, namely swimming in open water, cycling and running tracks on multi-lap routes, and the total closure of traffic.

Even this year, despite the atypical formula of the Grand Prix Triathlon, operations play a central role in the composition of the rankings and as regards the allocation of the prize money. The ranking by the company will award the best 12 teams, both for the male and female sectors, the "Emilio Di Toro" award, this year, will go to the winners of the Palermo race and a cash prize will also be awarded to the athletes who will get the best lap times.

Last year, The Hurricane team imposed itself in the men's overall standings while the DDS triumphed among the women while the Di Toro award went to Michele Sarzilla (Raschiani Triathlon Pavese) and Ilaria Zane (DDS).
