Dear friends,

it’s more than one month from the accident, but only now I’m able to put some order in my thoughts and above all, only now I come to knowledge so many things related to this fatal 7th march 2015.

These lines want to be THANKS TO ALL of you, for your infinite support through private and public messages, mails, articles and mostly generous donations.

I want, also in the name of Linda's parents with whom I have good contact, thank particularly some persons (I apologize in advance if I forgot someone or if simply still now don’t have come to knowledge of all the initiatives launched for us).

Alexa Cunningham, Caroline Koll, Jodie Swallow, James Cunnama, Lina Lizzi and Stellenbosch University from immediately after the accident up to my return to Italy have been there for us, they provided huge assistance to Linda, Linda’s parents and to me. They have been occupied in medical, organizational, insurance questions and last but not least, psychological help. Without them we would have been alone in the truest sense of the word. You all will be forever in our hearts and we will always be bonded in a special way to you.

Linda and I both had an insurance covering accidents abroad, but they were tied to limited amounts. The medical expenses for hospital stay, surgical procedures, medical tests and cares, medications, consular fees and so on are entirely at our own expense and they exceed the covered sum by far.

This short description only for you to understand how much we appreciate your financial support by different donation networks. On either side, Linda’s family and I it is a huge help in sustain part of the costs of this tragedy that the destiny has brought to us.

Last, but clearly most important to me, I would thank my parents, who always supported me in important decisions and generally in life. They suffered a lot during this last month. Now, in recovery and rehabilitation phase, they cuddle me and show me their infinite love every single day.
THANK YOU, I love you!

For me personally all this support means hope, hope that there is a way for me to return to "life".

The lost of Linda and the experience in general create still an infinite pain and without hope I would feel completely lost.
A few days ago our dear Mexican friend Yv Murillo (Aire Libre), who on Easter Sunday organized a running race with the motto „inspire and believe“ in Linda's and mine name, wrote a very important message to me:
„You can turn your life into a tribute, where you can live, dream, coach and create for you both“
I will try to work in this direction even if the road will be long and painful. But I know that this is Linda’s desire and your support will help to achieve it!

Cari amici,

è più di un mese dall'incidente, ma solo ora sono in grado di mettere ordine nei miei pensieri e, soprattutto, solo ora vengo a sapere tante cose legate a questo fatale 7 Marzo 2015.
Queste righe vogliono essere ringraziamento a tutti voi, per il vostro sostegno infinito attraverso messaggi pubblici e privati, e-mail, articoli e soprattutto generazioni donazioni.
Vorrei, anche a nome dei genitori di Linda con cui ho un regolare contatto, ringrazio in particolare alcune persone (mi scuso in anticipo se ho dimenticato qualcuno o se semplicemente ancora ora non sono venuta a conoscenza di tutte le iniziative avviate per noi).

Alexa Cunningham, Caroline Koll, Jodie Swallow, James Cunnama, Lina Lizzi e Stellenbosch University dal momento dell’incidente fino al mio ritorno in Italia sono state con noi, hanno fornito enorme assistenza per Linda, i suoi genitori e di me. Si sono occupati di questioni mediche, organizzative, assicurative e, ultimo ma non meno importante, di un aiuto psicologico. Senza di loro saremmo state sole nel vero senso della parola. Voi tutti sarete per sempre nei nostri cuori e saremo sempre legati in maniera speciale a voi.

Sia Linda che io avevano entrambe un’assicurazione per la copertura degli infortuni all'estero, ma erano legate ad importi limitati. Le spese mediche per la degenza ospedaliera, gli interventi chirurgici, le cure mediche, i farmaci, le tasse consolari e così via sono interamente a nostro carico e superano di gran lunga la somma coperta.
Questa breve descrizione solo per farvi capire quanto apprezziamo il vostro sostegno finanziario attraverso diverse reti di donazione. Sia per me che per la famiglia di Linda questo sostegno è di grande aiuto per sostenere una parte dei costi di questa tragedia, che il destino ci ha riservato.

L’amico Diego Rossi mi è stato vicino dal primo giorno dopo l'incidente e ha ancora oggi un ruolo importante nel mio recupero fisico e mentale.

In ultimo, ma chiaramente più importanti per me, vorrei ringraziare i miei genitori, che mi hanno sempre sostenuto nelle decisioni importanti e in generale nella vita. Hanno sofferto molto durante questo ultimo mese. Ora, nel recupero e la fase di riabilitazione, mi coccolano e mi mostrano il loro amore infinito ogni singolo giorno.

Per me personalmente tutto questo sostegno significa speranza, la speranza che ci sia un modo per me di tornare alla "vita". 
La perdita di Linda e l'esperienza in generale mi creano ancora un dolore infinito e senza speranza mi sentirei completamente persa.
Qualche giorno fa la nostra cara amica messicana Yv Murillo (Aire Libre), che la Domenica di Pasqua ha organizzato una corsa con il motto "Ispire & Belive" nel nome di Linda e mio, ha scritto un messaggio molto importante per me:
"Puoi trasformare la tua vita in un omaggio, dove puoi vivere, sognare, allenatore e creare per entrambi"
Cercherò di lavorare in questa direzione, anche se la strada sarà lunga e dolorosa. Ma so che questo è il desiderio di Linda e il vostro sostegno mi aiuterà a raggiungerlo!
